On January 31, The Dominus Project hosted The Not so Late Show featuring Dr. Mario Sacasa.
The evening began with an interactive comedic monologue by Father Mathew Dunn that was not only hilarious, but quite informative! Dr. Brian Pedraza and Dr. Mario then had a lively and informative discussion surrounding dating habits for our children. The evening was fun, festive and engaging for everyone that attended. We are so thankful to those who joined us, the night was indeed blessed!

On Wednesday, November 6th, Father Leo Patalinghug, the priest chef who beat Bobby Flay and founder of platinggrace.com, made his way down to Louisiana to share his gift of speaking and passion for cooking. Father Leo gave an exhortation on the importance of family meals during a lively cooking demonstration. Families showed up from all around the diocese to pray, play, and share a meal together. We are thankful for all the volunteers who served so joyfully, and for Father Leo for being such a gracious guest!

In July, The Dominus Project accompanied nine families, from Sacred Heart and St. John the Evangelist parishes, to the National Eucharistic Congress. The Dominus Project group, along with 55,000 pilgrims from across the United States, journeyed to Indianapolis, IN to gather in worship of our Eucharistic Lord. During the five-day Congress, these families worshipped, prayed, fellowshipped, and enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime experience of the Catholic Church. There were many takeaways from the Congress, but one message was clear for The Dominus Project: the family holds a sacred place in the plan of God. The family is central to the revival of His church. We were honored and blessed to make this extraordinary journey of faith with these pilgrim families.

On April 12, 2024, The Dominus Project welcomed Kevin and Mary O’Neill, the creators of the popular Catechism of the Seven Sacraments (also known in Dr. Pedraza's family as the Lego Catechism). Families from across the Diocese of Baton Rouge gathered in St. Francis Hall on FranU's campus to listen to Kevin O’Neill’s presentation on the Sacraments, "Building Up Our Faith." Those gathered were also blessed by Mary O’Neill's testimony, which described their family’s journey of developing the Building Blocks of Faith Ministry. Children attending enjoyed an exciting Lego competition which ended with an award ceremony. Overall, a wonderful time was had by all. The Dominus Project is thankful for the opportunity to meet the O'Neills and promote their ministry.
